fifty weeks!

It's hard to believe that Hudson will be a year old in two weeks! My how the time flies! Thanks to Rebecca who made this *adorable* cowboy costume for Jordan last year - it fit Hudson like a glove. So much so that he didn't fit in the pants on Halloween proper (the next day).

The boy loves his squash, what can I say? Thanks to M+B for the pumpkin and squash props!

forty-nine weeks!

Look at Hudson go! Arms out for balance  head down, concentrating on where he is going - already a true New Yorker!
He started to run a little when he saw the sandbox at the park... particularly some communal toys left on the edge.
..a good bowl can be hours of fun...
 ...
 ....
... or at least fifteen minutes, which is equivalent to hours in toddler terms!

forty-eight weeks!

Hudson loves being able to walk. He is sooo proud of himself! We had a fun time at the park. It is starting to look like fall! He picked a red leaf...
...and then tried to put it back on the tree!
 'why won't it stay?'
Such a cutie! Can't believe we are four weeks away from a big birthday!

playground fun!

Hudson *loves* the park. It is becoming more fun that he is walking around. He loves to swing. His new thing this week is to slap his hands on his face when you say, "uh-oh"...
 ..too cute, no?
 'oh, no!'
 'I'm just being silly, mommy!'
'Watch me walk to the playground! I am such a big boy!'
he loves playing with the wheel....definitely driving the bus!

he espied a pigeon and began pursuit...
 the pigeon is too fast!
 on to the next thing!!
A good shot of my guys:
The following photo is in lieu of pictures of Hudson running in the grass. That didn't happen because the grass is too fascinating and too fun to pick!

live baby walking...

Yes, that's right. You heard it hear first. Hudson is walking! On his own! And we caught it on tape as proof. Our little baby boy is growing up!

we closed!

We closed on our new apartment! We took a half day for a two hour signing session and then we went to get Hudson and show him our new digs...Bryden came over with his mom, Chelsea, and we had a fun time exploring! M+B came over with the cutest cupcakes *ever* and we celebrated with a champagne toast.

Lots of work to do before we move in, but this is a huge step! You can follow our renovation work at the sister blog www.4thfloorwalk-up.blogspot.com.

It's going to be a busy busy fall!

Forty-seven weeks!

Doesn't he look like such a big boy? Not sure if it's the shorts, the shoes or the pensive look into the distance, but he looks older to me in this photo. I just pulled out those hand-me down shoes (thanks R!) and his feet *barely* fit. Mr. big foot feet. Such a sweet boy...

We had a fun time at the playground on Sunday. It was such a beautiful day (love the Indian Summer) and Hudson had a great time climbing on all the equipment, going down the slide and swinging. He goes to this playground most every day with Violet. This time we met a friend Max. Hudson really liked Max's shoes - they were orange...

Such a busy busy boy!

Uncle Mac, Aunt Roo and the cousins too!

Our Georgia family came up for a visit this week and we had a super fun time. Hudson loved it when Caleb would play with him - he thought he was super cool. I played the part of tour guide for the three days they were here and they were action packed! We had pizza in Park slope - delicious and cheesy..

We took a ride on the Staten Island Ferry and saw the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges...
We took a walk through central park after hitting FAO Schwartz

After lunch at Shake Shack we went to the Natural History Museum which was fun! The crew is being eaten by the T-Rex on the wall!
Caleb is a blur...I think this is portent of things to come with Hudson!
And we rode on the subway lots! and lots! The kids were pros by the end!

It was fun to hang out in the 12-foot house!
And a family shot! Take one with the crew!
And shot two...It's hard to get both boys to cooperate in the same shot!
It was a fun trip! We got to play the "fun Aunt & Uncle" and take the kids out to ice cream one night while Mac & Ann went to a show. I only hope that Hudson is as well adjusted, well behaved, happy 8-12 years from now!
